Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Assis Civita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Howard Moon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Moon has chosen Heartbeats as his entrance music. Howard Moon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Assis Civita! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Howard Moon! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Civita closes the distance and clinches up with Moon, looking for a takedown. Civita pushes Moon against the cage but Moon circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Moon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Moon wants it to stay on the feet. Civita closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Moon misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Moon obliges. Civita tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Moon smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Assis Civita. That's going to take a lot out of him. Civita uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Moon. Moon misses with a looping left. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Civita shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Moon as he jumps to the side. Civita blocks a leg kick. Civita shoots in looking for a takedown. Moon tries to sprawl out of it but Civita keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Moon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Howard Moon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Civita bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Moon tries to escape but Civita is in control. Moon can't do much from the bottom here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The ground and pound from Civita seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Civita is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Moon is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Civita is trying to get an arm triangle but Moon is defending well. Moon is trying to control Civita's posture but Civita avoids it. Civita tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Moon is trying to improve his position. Civita has an Americana. Moon didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Civita is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Civita hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Assis Civita!
