Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Maxwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ping Wong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jim Maxwell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ping Wong! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Daniel Cesar and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Wong as Maxwell shoots in. Some wild striking there from Maxwell.
Wong decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Wong is tying to control. Maxwell wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Maxwell is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Wong scores with a couple of nice shots. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Maxwell gets full guard. Wong trying to control the position from guard on top but Maxwell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Maxwell looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wong is one step ahead there. Wong stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Maxwell swivels though and keeps the full guard. Wong drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wong jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Maxwell is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Maxwell winds up and cracks Wong with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Wong has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Wong has hold of Maxwell's hands but Maxwell slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Wong wants to control but Maxwell is keeping busy.
Wong wants to improve his position but Maxwell is controlling well.
Maxwell looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wong gets full guard. Maxwell throwing strikes from guard but Wong blocks nicely. Maxwell is breathing heavily. Wong is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Wong is working for a kimura but Maxwell is defending it quite comfortably.
Wong tries to pass the half guard into mount. Maxwell knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Maxwell is trying to get back to full guard. Wong is working for a submission of some sort.
Maxwell makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Maxwell. Wong passes easily into side control. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wong scoring with punches and elbows. Maxwell tries to improve position but can't. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wong trying to control the position but Maxwell is working away. Wong is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Maxwell is trying to escape and Wong transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Maxwell is forced to tap! Nice work there by Wong! Very nice indeed!
