The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good work by Mucho as he checks the leg kick. Alvarado misses with a two punch combination.
Mucho feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Mucho loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Mucho thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Mucho drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mucho jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Mucho throwing strikes from guard but Alvarado blocks nicely. Alvarado will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Mucho is looking to work some ground and pound but Alvarado has wrist control. Mucho pushing down on Alvarado's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mucho looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Alvarado with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Alvarado keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Mucho seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Alvarado is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
