Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between cj charles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Digger Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). charles comes to the cage accompanied by cant be stopped. Digger Griffin has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Griffin misses with a head kick.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Griffin looks to land a combination but charles avoids it well.
charles throws a sloppy head kick and Griffin moves out of range easily.
cj charles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Griffin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but charles moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

charles is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Griffin still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Griffin has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

That was a close round but I would say that cj charles will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

charles is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Griffin's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Griffin's back!
charles is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Griffin knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Griffin for a finish.

charles is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Griffin defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
charles is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Griffin is defending well though. charles let's go of the attempt for now.

charles manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Griffin manages to get himself to full guard.
charles postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Griffin is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of charles, into his guard.

charles working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Griffin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Griffin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
