Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Fumito Makino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joel Singapore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Makino comes to the cage accompanied by Fuck. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Fumito Makino!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joel Singapore!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Shimada and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Singapore shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Makino pinned against the cage. Makino gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Singapore is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Makino blocks the body kick.
Makino keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Makino looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Makino swings for the body but Singapore moves out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Singapore looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Makino cracks Singapore with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Singapore closes the distance and clinches up with Makino, looking for a takedown. Singapore pushes Makino against the cage but Makino circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Singapore tries to work over Makino's front leg with a kick but Makino checks it.
Singapore takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Singapore closes the distance but Makino moves to the side
and Makino counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Makino avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Makino cracks Singapore with an open hand slap.
Makino lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Singapore swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Makino throws a shot from downtown. Singapore moves away and avoids it.
Singapore fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Makino on the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Makino counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Singapore is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Singapore is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Makino to keep the fight standing.

Makino has had enough of the clinch but Singapore keeps him there for the moment.

Singapore fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Makino has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Singapore lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Makino circles away quickly and effectively.
Singapore throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Fumito Makino is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Makino uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Singapore.
Makino stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Makino fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Singapore manages to avoid it.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
