Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Lord (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Naga Brawler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brawler has chosen LAMB OF GOD-CHOKE SERMON as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Naga Brawler is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michael Lord! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Naga Brawler! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brawler gets in close and instigates a clinch. Brawler pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Brawler has had enough of the clinch but Lord keeps him there for the moment. Lord blocks the elbow strike.
Lord fails to pull guard.
Lord drops down looking for an ankle pick but Brawler pulls his leg out and moves away.
Lord fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Lord. That's going to take a lot out of him. Brawler has closed the distance and engaged Lord in a clinch.
Brawler creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Brawler just misses with a elbow thrown towards Lord's brow. Lord has Brawler pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Brawler manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Brawler just misses with a elbow thrown towards Lord's brow. Lord jumps into guard, dragging Brawler to the mat.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Brawler can do anything to dispel that myth. Brawler is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Lord can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Brawler is looking to escape. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Brawler can't escape the position.

Brawler really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lord. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Brawler wants to hold on but Lord pushes him away. Lord jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Brawler manages to avoid the submission attempt. Brawler tries to bench press Lord off him but Lord keeps the position. Brawler looks gassed! Lord tries to stand but Brawler is controlling his head. Brawler is trying to work for a sweep but Lord has mounted him! Lord wants to control the pace but Brawler is squirming around nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lord throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Brawler because Lord loaded up on that one. Lord tries to control but Brawler wriggling away. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lord throwing strikes here but Brawler is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Lord dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Naga Brawler showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Brawler must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Michael Lord. I think Lord has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
