Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christopher Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson comes into the arena with blaring out of the sound system. Gracie is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Fort Minor - Petrified (Gracie Remix). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
32 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeremy Johnson! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Christopher Gracie! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Johnson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Johnson sprawls well. Johnson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet. Johnson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gracie gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Johnson. Johnson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Gracie darts in and clinches Johnson up against the cage. Johnson is trying to force a seperation but Gracie has the dominant position. Gracie wants the takedown. Johnson is fighting it off but Gracie persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Johnson's guard against the cage. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Johnson wants to stand but Gracie is controlling the position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Johnson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving. Gracie won't allow Johnson to get back to his feet. Gracie throws a big right hand that misses. Johnson is looking to stand up but Gracie isn't so interested in that idea. Gracie wants to pass the guard but Johnson is keeping the position. Gracie stops Johnson from standing up.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Gracie tries to close the distance and clinch up but Johnson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Johnson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Gracie with a lazy takedown attempt enabling Johnson to counter with a crisp jab. Jeremy Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Christopher Gracie. Gracie walks into a jab. Johnson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson blocks a jab. Gracie fails in his attempt to clinch. Johnson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Johnson. Johnson misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Gracie counters with a left to the body. Johnson takes a swing at Gracie's ribcage but misses. Johnson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Johnson scores with a nice right hand.
Johnson missing with a left hand there. Gracie was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Johnson is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Gracie tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Johnson paws at him with a jab and circles away. Gracie shoots for a takedown but Johnson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Gracie misses with a wild body shot. Gracie lands with a thumping leg kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie clobbers Johnson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Johnson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gracie is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gracie trying to control but Johnson postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Christopher Gracie dominated that round. That's time! Johnson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Johnson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gracie stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Johnson throws a combination. Gracie tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Gracie rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Johnson counters with a good low kick that Gracie was not able to check. Johnson misses with the combination.
Johnson fails to land with a series of punches.
Gracie wants to clinch. Johnson will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Johnson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gracie was well out of range. Poor timing from Johnson. Johnson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gracie. Gracie shoots in and drives through. Johnson sprawls well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson swings for the body but Gracie moves out of range.
Nice uppercut there from Johnson. Gracie moves in looking to clinch but Johnson pushes him off. Gracie with a poor takedown and Johnson counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Gracie takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Johnson misses with a double jab
and Gracie counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Gracie. Gracie's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Johnson is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Gracie's half guard. Johnson wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gracie tries to roll over but Johnson keeps him under control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. It looks like Johnson is going to stand back up.
Gracie wants to control but Johnson is keeping busy and won't allow it. Johnson tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Gracie trying to hold on to Johnson's head to control him but Johnson postures up.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Christopher Gracie. Gracie lands a slapping body shot.
Christopher Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Johnson tried to score with a low kick but Gracie checks it. Gracie closes the distance and clinches up with Johnson, looking for a takedown. Gracie pushes Johnson against the cage but Johnson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Johnson cracks the inside of Gracie's front leg. Johnson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gracie moves away. Jeremy Johnson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Johnson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Johnson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A looping hook to the body misses from Johnson. Gracie does a little dance to reset his feet. Johnson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The fighters circling - Gracie throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Johnson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Johnson misses with a wild combination.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Gracie moves into the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Jeremy Johnson will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!

Gracie takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Nice strikes from Gracie there. Johnson is trying to stand.

Johnson is not content to let Gracie control the position. Johnson has one foot on Gracie's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Johnson's head.
Johnson is rocked! Gracie is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Johnson's half guard. Oh Johnson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Johnson is looking to escape. Gracie is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Gracie looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Gracie drops an elbow to the side of Johnson's head. Johnson is looking to escape. Gracie is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Johnson is hurt! He's hurt bad - Gracie fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Johnson from any more punishment! Congratulations to Gracie! Great finish!
