Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jefferson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jefferson misses the shot to the body.
Jefferson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Jefferson works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Russell wants to get back to his feet but Jefferson drags him back down.
The referee asks Jefferson politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Jefferson prefers to stall for the moment though.
Jefferson cracks Russell with a big right hand but Russell just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Jefferson controls the position.
Jefferson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Russell knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jefferson on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Russell wants to get back to his feet but Jefferson is dominant here and he's now got Russell's back!
Jefferson has his arm under Russell's chin here. Game over son! Jefferson squeezes tightly and Russell is forced to tap out!
