Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Simon Standa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and True American (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). American comes into a darkened arena with his song building. skrillex kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! True American has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 56 - 0, fighting out of New York, Simon Standa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, True American! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Russell Pearce and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Standa fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Standa throws a big shot that misses. American clinches up with Standa and pushes him back against the cage. American manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
American has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Standa avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Standa is trying to force a seperation but American has the dominant position. American's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. The fight stays on the outside here - Standa looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Standa throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and American counters with a single leg into guard. Standa didn't expect that. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. American wants to control from the top but Standa keeps moving. American drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Standa dives on top into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! American manages to escape and get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Standa misses with a takedown attempt - American sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. American shoots in for a takedown but Standa shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. American lands with a kick to the temple. Standa shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" American keeps the fight on the outside. Standa scores with a one two! American had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. American clinches up against the cage. Standa breaks from the clinch.
A left lands for American. American shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Standa as he avoids it easily. Simon Standa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of True American. Standa tries to clinch there but American circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. American takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Standa fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Standa looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. American shoots in for a double leg but Standa sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. American wants to clinch. American throws a nice head kick!
American tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Standa manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. American lands a leg kick that knocks Standa off balance momentarily. Standa is breathing heavily. Standa looks for a takedown but American sprawls well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Standa will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. American scores with a head kick. Standa tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Standa drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. American seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. American looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
American is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Standa frees his head nicely. Oh but American has switched to an armbar! Standa is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
