Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Richard McCaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Bova (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bova comes into a darkened arena with his song building. I came to bring the pain! kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Tony Bova has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Richard McCaw's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Chris Edwards and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCaw throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Bova checks a leg kick.
Bova avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bova fails with a takedown attempt.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Bova shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. McCaw manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

McCaw utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Bova keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of McCaw's head.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bova accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Bova chips away with some ground and pound.

Bova postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Bova throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McCaw works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
McCaw can't keep his opponent in guard - Bova advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McCaw really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bova is nestled in close to McCaw, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bova works his foot free and advances to mount.

Bova loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have McCaw scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Bova land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Bova stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tony Bova!
A very excited looking Tony Bova rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
