Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dominic Macmillan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Jones!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones takes a kick to the side of the head.
Jones fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Jones closes the distance and clinches.
Jones keeps control of Macmillan as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Jones continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.
Macmillan tries to break free but Jones pushes him back against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Macmillan's face as he tries to break the clinch.
The referee calls for Jones to work.

Jones gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Macmillan regains guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Jones stays in close to Macmillan's body and controls the position.

Macmillan is working an open guard so Jones takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Macmillan tries to bum rush Jones with a series of wild strikes but Jones uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Macmillan lands a slapping body shot.
Dominic Macmillan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Macmillan.
Jones avoids the head kick by Macmillan.
Macmillan throws a low kick but Jones avoids it.
Jones looks to land a body kick but Macmillan moved away.

Jones has closed the distance and engaged Macmillan in a clinch.

Macmillan is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Jones is keeping busy.
Jones drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Macmillan gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Jones blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Macmillan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Macmillan is fending him off so far but Jones persists. Nope, Macmillan circles away and we're back to standing.

Jones throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Macmillan tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jones is in Macmillan's guard.

Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Macmillan is retaining full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jones tries for a takedown but Macmillan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Jones drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Macmillan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Macmillan wants to hit a switch here but Jones passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Macmillan there!
Macmillan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jones on the ground.

Jones looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jones landing strikes from the mount and Macmillan is in trouble!
Jones takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Macmillan is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Macmillan is in a horrible position here. Jones smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Macmillan tries to hold on but Jones pushes him away.

Macmillan is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Jones is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Macmillan is defending well though. Jones let's go of the attempt for now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jones really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Macmillan.

Chris Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
