Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Colin Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Earnie Champ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harris comes to the cage accompanied by Any Way You Want It. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Colin Harris! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Earnie Champ! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Russell Pearce and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Champ shoots in for a double leg but Harris sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Champ closes the distance and clinches up with Harris, looking for a takedown. Champ pushes Harris against the cage but Harris circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Champ fails to land the takedown. Colin Harris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Earnie Champ. Champ shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Harris as he avoids it easily. A head kick misses from Harris. Harris scores a takedown into full mount! The referee warns Champ that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Harris is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Champ is surviving well by controlling Harris's body position as best he can. Harris stands up from mount. Strange move. Harris connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Harris throws a low kick but Champ avoids it. Harris moves into range and clinches up with Champ. Champ trying to stall but Harris improves his position.
Harris prevents the takedown attempt.
Harris pulls guard effortlessly.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harris looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Champ is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Harris is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Harris has escaped and now he's on top! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Champ looks gassed! Harris pushing down on Champ's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Harris controlling the pace. Harris is looking for a kimura but Champ is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Harris to get the leverage. Harris tries to pass the half guard into mount. Champ knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Harris passes to side control. Harris stands up. Champ takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Harris fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Champ, pushing him back against the cage. Harris has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Champ is trying to keep an underhook but Harris manages to get the takedown into half guard. Harris decides to stand up. Harris throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Champ shoots and misses and Harris counters with a good low kick that Champ was not able to check. Champ with a poor takedown and Harris makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Champ really felt that one! Champ tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Champ drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Champ pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Harris is keeping the position for now. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Champ trying to control but Harris is working from the bottom. Harris is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Harris trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Champ wants to pass the guard but Harris is keeping the position. Harris wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Champ looking to pass the guard. Champ advances to half guard. Harris tries to get to full guard but Champ has control of the leg. Champ wants to lay and pray for a moment but Harris keeps working. Champ prevents Harris from improving his position. Champ trying to mount his opponent but Harris defends it. Champ tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Champ is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Champ tries for a takedown but Harris circles away easily and Harris counters with a nice double leg into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Harris wants to control from the top but Champ keeps moving. Champ working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Harris doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Harris manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Champ looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Champ wants to sweep here but Harris controlling him for the moment. Champ had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Harris is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Champ Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Harris's back instead. Harris is really stuck here.
Harris is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Champ gets his way!
Harris staying busy and making it hard for Champ to control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Harris tries to escape but Champ has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Champ looking for the RNC. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Colin Harris dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Champ shoots and misses and Harris counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Champ's guard now. Harris has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Champ looking for a guillotine here but Harris defends easily.
Harris not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Harris gets to his feet. Champ looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Harris looks for a takedown but Champ sprawls well. Champ shoots and misses and Harris counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Champ! Champ tries to lock up and control but Harris gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Champ is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Harris is staying active. Harris trying to control but he's not successful this time. Colin Harris overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Champ is wriggling around trying to escape.
Harris landing strikes from the mount. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Harris looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harris is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Champ has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Harris is standing up, even though he is in mount. Harris shoots in and bounces Champ off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Harris postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Champ is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Harris, into his guard. Champ trying to control the position from guard on top but Harris is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Harris is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Harris looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Champ passes into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Champ prevents Harris from improving his position. Champ is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Champ looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Harris is looking to control Champ's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Harris avoid being mounted? Harris is not content to let Champ control the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Champ gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Harris counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Colin Harris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Earnie Champ. Champ working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Harris doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Harris lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. A lull in the action here as Harris stalls from top position. Champ is working to avoid the ground and pound but Harris connects with a decent elbow. Harris remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Harris has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Colin Harris dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Harris is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Champ can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Harris looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Harris is working for a guillotine from mount but Champ frees his head quite easily.

Champ takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Harris with shots to the head and body - Champ looks very uncomfortable down there. Harris can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Champ is looking to escape. Harris moves to back control. Champ is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Harris lands strikes to the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Champ covers up after that shot from Harris.
Harris looking for the choke from the back. Harris tightening his grip on Champ, looking for the choke. Harris controls the action. Champ covering up well under a barage of strikes. Harris has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.

This has been an exciting period of action! What can Champ do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Harris looking to break Champ's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Champ remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Harris will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Harris working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Champ is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Champ manages to reverse the position and now he's in Harris's guard. Nice work there by Champ.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Harris manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Champ manages to get himself to full guard.
Harris is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Champ can do to turn this around? Harris advances position into side control! Champ takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Harris is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Champ has escaped the position, nice work there. Champ can't do much from the bottom here. Harris working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Harris wants to control but Champ is keeping him busy. Champ tries to get back to half guard but can't. Harris gets to mount! Champ was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Harris punching from mount but Champ doing a good job of avoiding damage. Harris jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Champ is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Champ and Harris has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Harris tries to move into full mount but can't pass Champ's legs. Harris is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Champ is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Harris is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Champ is trying to escape and Harris transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Champ is forced to tap! Nice work there by Harris! Very nice indeed!
