Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Perko Late (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Perrin Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Late comes into the arena with No Easy Way Out blaring out of the sound system. Jones has chosen Piggly Wiggly as his entrance music. Perrin Jones will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Perko Late! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Perrin Jones! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Late shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily. Late steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jones. Late fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jones manages to avoid it. Jones gets a takedown into half guard. Jones missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Jones tries to pass the half guard into mount. Late knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Jones missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Jones throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Jones thows a huge punch but Late dodges it nicely.

Late keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Jones seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Late might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Jones not landing any meaningful shots this time. Jones wants to control but Late is keeping him busy. Late avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Jones. Late is defending against the submission attempts here by Jones.

The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Late with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones is looking to work some ground and pound but Late has wrist control. That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Late is adopting a defensive guard. Jones with a flurry of punches that miss. Jones is looking to work some ground and pound but Late has wrist control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Late swivels though and keeps the full guard. Jones being controlled here momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jones throwing shots but missing, from side control. Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Late keeps working. Jones postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Late, who protects the arm well. Late manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jones looking for submissions from the bottom here. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jones misses the shot to the body.

Jones in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Jones has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Late can't do much from the bottom here. Late tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jones wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Jones landing strikes. Perrin Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

That's three minutes gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Late cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Jones is trying desperately to improve position. Late landing punches. Perrin Jones is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Jones is in all sorts of trouble here.

Jones takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Late looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Jones tries to hold on but Late postures up. Late working for a guillotine from mount but Jones is in no mood to give up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Late lands with some strikes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jones really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Late is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Jones can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
And that's the end of the fight! Perko Late showed his dominance in that final round. Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
