And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Zeus Mesus!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Kenichi Hosakawa and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carwin tries to bum rush Mesus with a series of wild strikes but Mesus uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Carwin keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Mesus feints and as Carwin raises his hands in defense, Mesus changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Mesus passes Carwin's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Mesus wants to work for an arm triangle but Carwin is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Mesus is looking for a kimura but Carwin is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mesus to get the leverage.

Mesus is working for a submission of some sort.
