Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rocky Scalante (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kapitan Tutan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Rocky Scalante has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Rocky Scalante seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from Scalante misses.
Scalante digs a good hook to Tutan's body.
Tutan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Scalante manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Tutan darts in trying to clinch
and Scalante counters with a lovely straight right hand!

It looks like Kapitan Tutan has been cut.
Scalante misses with a wild body shot.
Kapitan Tutan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tutan wants to clinch but Scalante slips to the side
and Scalante counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Tutan moves to clinch but Scalante breaks away
and Scalante counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tutan shoots in but no luck this time.
Tutan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Scalante paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Tutan closes the distance and clinches up with Scalante, looking for a takedown. Tutan pushes Scalante against the cage but Scalante circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Tutan.
Rocky Scalante has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kapitan Tutan.

Tutan tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Scalante counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Rocky Scalante is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Tutan takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Scalante cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

That has opened up Kapitan Tutan's cut even more.
Tutan closes the distance and clinches up with Scalante, looking for a takedown. Tutan pushes Scalante against the cage but Scalante circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Scalante connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Scalante takes a swing at Tutan's ribcage but misses.
Tutan tries to clinch up
and Scalante makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Tutan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Tutan looks to land a left hand but Scalante moved out of range nicely.
Scalante is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Tutan tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Scalante counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Tutan is trying desperately to land a takedown but Scalante is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Tutan.

The cut above Kapitan Tutan's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Tutan slips a straight right by Scalante.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Scalante slaps away a takedown attempt from Tutan, before circling back to the center of the mat.

and Scalante counters with a nice body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tutan steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Scalante.
Scalante lands a nice looking body shot.
Tutan takes a shot right to the bread basket.

and Scalante counters with a crisp one two that drops Tutan! Scalante thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Tutan to his feet! Tutan is in big trouble!
