Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tien Shinhan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nonda Fontino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tien Shinhan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nonda Fontino!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Steve Erwin and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shinhan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Fontino doesn't manage to clinch there - Shinhan circles away.

Fontino darts in and clinches Shinhan up against the cage.
Shinhan has a couple of punches blocked by Fontino.
Fontino gets through Shinhan's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Fontino has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Shinhan uses from the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

No joy there for Shinhan, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Fontino has taken the fight to the clinch.

Fontino ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Fontino no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Shinhan wants to control from the top but Fontino keeps moving.
Fontino seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Fontino escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Shinhan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Shinhan looking to sit in guard and control but Fontino gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Shinhan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fontino on the ground.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Fontino shoots for a double leg takedown but Shinhan sprawls well. He's pushed Fontino's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Shinhan doesn't manage to clinch there - Fontino circles away.
Shinhan clobbers Fontino with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Fontino wants to sweep here but Shinhan controlling him for the moment.
Fontino manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tien Shinhan will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Nonda Fontino comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Fontino has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
