Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Michael Kalos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sag Rod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kalos kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Cracks (Flux Pavillion). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sag Rod!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, John Kavanagh and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kalos gets caught napping as Rod dives in and scores a takedown. Kalos manages to retain guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Kalos manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rod manages to get himself to full guard.

Rod is refusing to be controlled, as Kalos sits in half guard.

Kalos is pressing down on Rod's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rod is holding on for now.
Rod keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Kalos seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rod does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Rod is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kalos pulls his head out easily.

Kalos is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Rod doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kalos.

Kalos is looking to take a break and control but Rod is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rod can do anything to dispel that myth.

Kalos is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Rod wants to improve his position but Kalos is controlling well.
Rod lands one or two decent shots to the body here. Although from his own half guard, he's not going to be causing too much damage.
Kalos wants to pass the guard but Rod is defending well.

Kalos seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Rod is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
