Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Acardi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and ryan prevost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jesse Acardi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
prevost closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Well, if prevost is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Acardi wants to get back to full guard.
prevost wants to free his trapped foot but Acardi is holding on for dear life with his legs.
prevost looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Acardi makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Acardi.
prevost drops back looking for a leg! Acardi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Acardi manages to kick prevost off! prevost jumps back into Acardi's guard.
prevost is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Acardi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for prevost on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round.
prevost wants to control from the top but Acardi keeps moving.
prevost is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Acardi is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst prevost is controlling him.
Acardi bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in prevost's guard.
prevost looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Acardi has picked prevost up and slammed him! prevost can't keep hold of the triangle and Acardi manages to pass to side control!
prevost can't do much from the bottom here.
prevost tries to buck Acardi off but Acardi is having none of it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
prevost manages to work his way to half guard, despite Acardi's best efforts.
prevost has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Acardi is working away from the top position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Acardi passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for prevost!
prevost bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Acardi is breathing heavily.
prevost stopping the sweep attempt from Acardi.
prevost stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Acardi swivels though and keeps the full guard.
prevost is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Acardi throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
prevost forces his way into half guard.
prevost seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
prevost is working for a kimura but Acardi is defending it quite comfortably.
prevost frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
prevost jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Acardi manages to avoid the submission attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here as prevost stalls from top position.
prevost working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
prevost wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Acardi, who protects the arm well.
prevost wants to lay and pray for a moment but Acardi keeps working.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
ryan prevost dominated that round.

prevost decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
prevost controlling the pace.
prevost is working for a submission of some sort.
prevost is working for a kimura but Acardi is defending it quite comfortably.
prevost moves into full mount! Acardi won't be happy about that!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

prevost sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
prevost wants to control the pace but Acardi is squirming around nicely.
prevost working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Acardi working to try and regain half guard.
prevost seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Acardi is holding on tight.
Acardi tries to get back to half guard but can't.
prevost wants to finish this one by submission but Acardi is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from prevost.

prevost is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Acardi is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Acardi flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. prevost anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Acardi and secures both hooks! This could be bad! prevost slips an arm under Acardi chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. prevost has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. prevost is squeezing on Acardi like an anaconda would it's prey. Acardi fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
