Tyler has chosen Wrestling Machine as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bowness feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Tyler is trying to keep Bowness in close.
Bowness is in close to Tyler's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Bowness trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Bowness controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Tyler looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Bowness puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Bowness has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Tyler's face.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tyler takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bowness tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Tyler seems to have recovered his senses.

Bowness throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Tyler has his hands clasped together but Bowness breaks the hold and Tyler is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Bowness!
