Schaeffer's entrance music is Long Tall Sally. A fine choice. Dutch Schaeffer has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dutch Schaeffer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cross Archangel! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Archangel cracks a nice hook into Schaeffer's ribs. Archangel displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Schaeffer. Archangel lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Archangel misses with a two punch combination.

Archangel lands a nice hook to Schaeffer's body. Schaeffer takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Archangel swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Archangel throws a big shot that misses. Horrible takedown by Schaeffer or perhaps it was just good defense by Archangel which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dutch Schaeffer. That's two minutes gone in the round. Schaeffer takes the fight into the clinch. Schaeffer decides to pull guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Archangel has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Schaeffer is proving hard to escape from. Archangel loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Schaeffer bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Archangel's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Schaeffer is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Schaeffer throwing strikes but missing. Archangel utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Schaeffer showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Schaeffer drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Schaeffer jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Schaeffer in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Archangel can do anything to dispel that myth. Schaeffer is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Schaeffer passes Archangel's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Schaeffer prevents Archangel from improving his position. Schaeffer is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Archangel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Schaeffer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Schaeffer prevents Archangel from improving his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Schaeffer thows a huge punch but Archangel dodges it nicely.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Archangel avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Schaeffer. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dutch Schaeffer dominated that round. The cut man is working on Cross Archangel's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
An inside leg kick lands from Schaeffer. A head kick by Schaeffer misses and Archangel counters with a lovely straight right hand! Schaeffer throws a leg kick but Archangel checks it. Schaeffer on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Schaeffer tries for a takedown but Archangel sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Archangel fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Archangel scores with a jab. Archangel misses the shot to the body. Schaeffer throws a sloppy head kick and Archangel moves out of range easily. Schaeffer shoots for a takedown but Archangel saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Dutch Schaeffer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fight stays on the outside here - Schaeffer looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

That's going to take a lot out of him. Archangel ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Archangel closes the distance looking to clinch and Schaeffer counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Schaeffer. Schaeffer pulls Archangel into guard.
Archangel trying to stand up but can't free himself from Schaeffer's guard. Schaeffer looking for a triangle here. Archangel is fighting it but it looks tight! Schaeffer pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Archangel is tapping out - this one is all over!
