Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Sinclair! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Miller! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller gets tackled into the cage by Sinclair. Sinclair maintains the clinch. Sinclair turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Sinclair manages to end up in side control. Miller pushes Sinclair away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Sinclair gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Miller is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Miller tries to strike but it doesn't land. Miller manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Sinclair seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Miller trying to control from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller wants to improve his position but Sinclair is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Miller strikes from the bottom but Sinclair uses the opportunity to move to side control.
Miller tries to buck Sinclair off but Sinclair is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miller sneaks back into half guard. Miller tries to get to full guard but Sinclair has control of the leg. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Miller wants to control but Sinclair is keeping busy.
Sinclair is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller is trying to get back to full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tony Sinclair. Miller shoots in looking for a takedown but Sinclair manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Miller's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Sinclair shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Miller is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Miller wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Miller looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Sinclair has the hooks in. Miller is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Sinclair is trying to stick to Miller's back but Miller is turning into Sinclair. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Sinclair's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Miller. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Miller won't allow Sinclair to sweep him here. Sinclair controlling the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Tony Sinclair will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Sinclair on the wrong end of a nice hook. Michael Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Miller cracks Sinclair with an open hand slap. Nice defenses there by Sinclair. Miller misses with an uppercut
and Sinclair cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Sinclair shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Miller's guard. Miller working for submissions but it's allowed Sinclair to get to half guard.
Miller has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sinclair is working away from the top position though. Sinclair works his foot free and advances to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Miller is just holding on here. Sinclair manages to take his back.
What can Miller do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Well, if Sinclair is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Sinclair seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Miller for as long as he can get away with. Sinclair wants to pass to mount but Miller is defending the position. Sinclair perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller is trying to stand.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Tony Sinclair wasn't doing enough on the ground. Sinclair tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Miller paws at him with a jab and circles away. Sinclair fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Miller to the ground. Sinclair is now in Miller's guard. Tony Sinclair overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Miller wants to sweep here but Sinclair controlling him for the moment. Sinclair has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Miller working a defensive guard here.
Miller is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Miller is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Michael Miller wasn't active enough on the ground. Sinclair takes one on the button. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Horrible takedown by Miller or perhaps it was just good defense by Sinclair which made him look bad. Miller uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Sinclair has time to react. Good exchange - Miller coming out on top. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Michael Miller will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Sinclair is trying hard to land a takedown here. Miller sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Sinclair closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sinclair lands in his opponent's guard. Miller being controlled here, momentarily. Sinclair has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Miller to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Sinclair is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Miller pulls down on the head and he's put Sinclair to sleep! This one is all over!
