The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanches defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Xyfer.
Sanches feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Xyfers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Sanches's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Sanches duly obliges.
Roger Sanches seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Xyfer gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Sanches fails with the takedown.
Xyfer scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Xyfer connects with a nice short shot to Sanches's temple.
