Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Noles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nick Noles! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carlos Gracie! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie has his takedown stuffed so Noles counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Noles has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Noles missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Noles doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Noles manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Gracie looking for a guillotine here but Noles defends easily.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Gracie looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Gracie actively working from the bottom here. Noles decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Gracie looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Noles is trying to defend but Gracie finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Gracie is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Noles sees it coming and defends easily. Noles holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Noles regains full guard. Nicely done. Gracie pushing down on Noles's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Noles is looking to control Gracie's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Noles avoid being mounted? The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Noles kicks Gracie off and gets back to his feet. Noles drives through and clinches with Gracie against the cage.
Noles escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Noles as he avoids it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Noles closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Noles controls the position from side control. Noles decides to stand back up. Noles steps back and let's Gracie get back to his feet. Noles has Gracie up against the cage in a clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Well, if Noles is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Gracie looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Noles is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Noles seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Gracie for as long as he can get away with. Gracie looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Noles content to control rather than advance. Gracie looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Noles performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Noles tries to pass the half guard into mount. Gracie knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
The ref stands the fighters back up because Nick Noles just wasn't active enough. Noles throws a solid leg kick but Gracie takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Noles. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nick Noles dominated that round. That's time! Noles's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Gracie looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Noles is fending him off so far but Gracie persists. Nope, Noles circles away and we're back to standing. Noles shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Gracie manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Gracie has his foot on Noles's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Noles works his way back into a safe position though. Noles is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Noles trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom. Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Noles doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Noles manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Noles knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gracie on the ground. Noles stands up from guard. Let's bang! Gracie is breathing heavily. Noles lands a nice hook to Gracie's body. Gracie takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Noles pinned against the cage. Noles gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Noles darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Gracie looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Noles works his foot free and advances to mount. Gracie is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Noles looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Noles pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Gracie is trying to escape the mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie looking for subs from the bottom but Noles mounts him! Noles takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Gracie is working to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Noles controlling his opponent. Gracie slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Noles tries to stand and escape but Gracie is controlling the position. Noles wants to control but Gracie is keeping him busy. Gracie manages to get to full guard.
Gracie is looking for a triangle but Noles pushes his legs off easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gracie looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Noles passes into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Noles in particular looking to stall. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nick Noles dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Gracie fails with the takedown. Noles tries to clinch but Gracie is having none of it. Noles drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gracie is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Noles off and has taken his back! Gracie looking to break Noles's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Noles remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Gracie will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Gracie is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Noles manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position. Gracie blocks a head kick by Noles.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Noles tries to clinch up. Noles clinches. Noles jumps guard.
Gracie drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Noles dives on top into guard. Gracie is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Nick Noles overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Gracie working for a triangle but Noles defends it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Noles doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Noles manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Gracie has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Noles is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Gracie. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Noles stands up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Noles rushes Gracie and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Gracie wants to get back to striking at distance but Noles won't allow it.
Noles gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Noles gets to his feet - Gracie follows without any prompting. Noles closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Gracie is trying to improve his position. Gracie is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Noles's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Gracie is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Noles is tapping! Great win for Gracie!
