Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Atli Thor!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick from Thor misses
and Marx counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Marx slips a jab from Thor.
Thor tries to land a front kick but Marx steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Thor misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Thor lands a glancing blow to the side of Marx's head.
Thor misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Marx.

Atli Thor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Thor throws a solid leg kick but Marx takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Thor.

Thor throws a shot from downtown. Marx moves away and avoids it.
Marx paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Thor walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Marx checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
A low kick from Thor is predictable there
and Marx counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Thor tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Thor has momentary wrist control but Marx slips an elbow through the middle.
Thor has control of Marx's left arm, preventing Marx from doing any damage.
Thor is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Marx might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Marx is keen to just control but Thor is a slippery customer.
Marx uses his free foot to push down on Thor's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Thor.

Marx wants to lay and pray for a moment but Thor keeps working.
