Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Ivan Kurochkin and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson shoots in looking for a takedown but Spanner manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Johnson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Johnson shoots for a double leg takedown but Spanner sprawls well. He's pushed Johnson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Mick Spanner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Manuel Johnson.

Spanner has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Johnson is proving hard to escape from.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Johnson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Spanner's guard.
