Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brian Knotts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wallace is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bodies by Drowning Pool. William Wallace is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brian Knotts! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, William Wallace! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wallace shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Knotts pinned against the cage. Knotts gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Knotts jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Knotts fails with a takedown attempt from distance. A nice combination there by Knotts.
It looks like William Wallace has been cut. Knotts closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Wallace to the mat! Wallace manages to get full guard.
Wallace is rocked! Wallace throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Knotts trying to control the position from guard on top but Wallace is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wallace tries to land a sweep but no joy. Knotts postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Wallace really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Knotts. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Wallace looking to hit a scissor sweep but Knotts is one step ahead there. Knotts tries to free his leg and advance position but Wallace is retaining full guard. Wallace wants to stand but Knotts is controlling the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Excellent takedown into side control there by Knotts. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Knotts misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Knotts throwing shots but missing, from side control. Wallace tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Knotts tries to advance to mount but can't. Wallace tries to bench press Knotts off him but Knotts keeps the position. Wallace gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Wallace gets full guard. Wallace looks gassed! Wallace can't keep his opponent in guard - Knotts advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Knotts seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wallace does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Knotts missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Wallace blocking the ground and pound attempt from Knotts. Wallace wants to improve his position but Knotts is controlling well.
Knotts passes the guard and advances to mount! Knotts working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Wallace looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Knotts! Submission of the night perhaps?
