Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Atilla Da (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joseph T O Callahan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). O Callahan has chosen More human than human - White Zombie as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joseph T O Callahan! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! O Callahan rushes Da and presses him up against the cage. O Callahan tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Da avoids it. Both fighters working to control the clinch. O Callahan throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Da goes for a takedown attempt but O Callahan pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
O Callahan moves into the clinch. Good body shot from Da.
O Callahan lands an elbow that stopped Da in his tracks for a moment. O Callahan misses with an elbow over the top. O Callahan lands a damaging elbow. O Callahan tries for a takedown but Da manages to get underhooks.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Atilla Da just wasn't active enough. Da shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Atilla Da. Da missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Da throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. O Callahan keeping full guard, as Da tries to pass. Da trying to control but O Callahan is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Da is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because O Callahan is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Let's see what he's got on the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Da connects with a nice short shot to O Callahan's temple. Da takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Da's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. O Callahan blocking the ground and pound attempt from Da. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Da forces O Callahan back against the cage and clinches. O Callahan has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Da is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Da blocks an elbow strike. Joseph T O Callahan seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. O Callahan looking to stall.
