Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kari Tapio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hans Arne Georgsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Georgsen comes into a darkened arena with his song building. O Fortuna kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Kari Tapio could well score a knockout today. 11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Kari Tapio! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 24 - 2, fighting out of London, Hans Arne Georgsen! The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tapio keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Georgsen gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Tapio in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Tapio drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Georgsen manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Tapio has Georgsen in his guard. Tapio has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Georgsen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Georgsen postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Tapio working for a triangle but Georgsen defends it easily.

Georgsen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Georgsen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Georgsen with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Tapio escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Georgsen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Tapio is looking for a triangle but Georgsen pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Georgsen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tapio has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Georgsen has managed to get both his arms back between Tapio's legs - danger averted. Tapio is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Tapio had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Georgsen defends it easily. Tapio being controlled here, momentarily. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Tapio is looking for a triangle but Georgsen pushes his legs off easily.

Georgsen checks a low kick from Tapio. Tapio bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Georgsen is not content to let Tapio control the position. Georgsen tries to bench press Tapio off him but Tapio keeps the position. Tapio working away. Tapio swings around for an armbar but Georgsen sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Tapio's guard. Tapio had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Georgsen defends it easily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Georgsen avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
