Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Darrell Miles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harper Pool (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harper Pool will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Darrell Miles! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Harper Pool! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, John Roberts and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miles tries to clinch up. Miles gets a clinch. Miles escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Miles has closed the distance and engaged Pool in a clinch.

Pool keeps control of Miles as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Miles goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Pool is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Miles gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Miles lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Miles just leaning against Pool, taking a breather. Miles misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Miles avoids a wild elbow strike from Pool. Miles throws an elbow but it's blocked.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miles lands a hook to the side of the head. Miles slowing the pace effectively. Miles is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Pool pulls him back up using the underhooks. Miles tries to pull guard but Pool holds him up against the cage and eventually Miles drops back down to his feet.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Miles. Miles goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Miles gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Pool regains guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Pool avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Pool is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Miles is aware though and is defending well. Miles stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pool swivels though and keeps the full guard. Miles connects with a couple of short punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miles prevents Pool from getting back to his feet. Pool looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Pool is trying to control the position but Miles postures up. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Miles trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Pool wants to stand and escape but Miles is having none of it. Miles trying to control but Pool is working from the bottom. Miles postures up in Pool's guard and throws a big left but Pool blocks it. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Pool swats away the attempt to clinch by Miles. Miles swats away the attempt to clinch by Pool. Miles drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Miles trying to control the position but Pool is working away. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Miles scoring with punches and elbows. Miles is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Pool is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Pool has escaped and now he's on top! Pool won't allow Miles to sweep him here. Darrell Miles overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Miles utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Miles bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pool's guard. Miles trying to control the position from guard on top but Pool is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pool wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Miles tries to free his leg and advance position but Pool is retaining full guard. Miles postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Miles loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Miles passes into half guard. Pool wants to improve his position but Miles is controlling well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Pool is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Miles scores with a couple of nice shots. Nice strikes from Miles there. Pool is looking to control Miles's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pool avoid being mounted? Miles trying to control the action but Pool is working from the bottom. Pool gets full guard. Pool has control of Miles's left arm, preventing Miles from doing any damage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pool preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Miles missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pool is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Pool avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Miles stays in close to Pool's body and controls the position.

Pool tries to score a power double leg takedown but Miles sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pool somewhat. Pool is breathing heavily. Miles has closed the distance and engaged Pool in a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miles presses Pool against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Miles digs a right hand underneath Pool's ribcage. Pool let out a lung full of air as it connected. Miles goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Miles lands a left hand that snaps the head of Pool backwards. Miles tries to work over Pool's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Miles wants the takedown. Pool is fighting it off but Miles persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Pool's guard against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Miles wants to control from the top but Pool keeps moving. Pool wants to sweep but no luck. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Miles content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Miles tries to free his leg and advance position but Pool is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Miles lands a couple of elbows. Miles wants to control from the top but Pool keeps moving. Miles stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pool swivels though and keeps the full guard. Miles lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Miles throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pool works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miles trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Miles is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pool can do to turn this around? Pool is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Miles defends well. Miles tries to free his leg and advance position but Pool is retaining full guard. Miles missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Pool had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Miles defends it easily. Pool takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Miles throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Miles is pulling down on Pool's head to control his posture. Pool trying to stand up but can't free himself from Miles's guard. Miles keeping moving, preventing Pool from controlling successfully. Harper Pool has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Harper Pool wasn't active enough on the ground. Miles throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Pool counters with a slapping leg kick. Pool misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Darrell Miles showed his dominance in that final round. Well Miles has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
