Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gavin Trevally (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trevally comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Thunderstruck kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeff Coleman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gavin Trevally! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, David Schapiro and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coleman has Trevally up against the cage in a clinch.
Coleman is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Trevally can't fight it off and eventually Coleman manages to take the fight to the floor. Trevally looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Trevally is trying to control the position but Coleman postures up. Coleman could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Trevally is controlling Coleman's posture. Coleman wants to get up but he can't break Trevally's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Trevally looking to hit a scissor sweep but Coleman is one step ahead there. Coleman gets to his feet - Trevally follows without any prompting. Horrible takedown by Coleman or perhaps it was just good defense by Trevally which made him look bad. Coleman drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trevally manages to work his way to half guard, despite Coleman's best efforts. Trevally wants to control but Coleman is keeping busy and won't allow it. Coleman throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Coleman tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Trevally. Coleman throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Trevally blocking the ground and pound attempt from Coleman. Coleman wants to stand up but Trevally is controlling the position.
Coleman with the ground and pound but Trevally uses the opportunity to regain guard. Coleman has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Coleman is breathing heavily. Trevally throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Coleman tries to stand but Trevally is controlling from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Trevally is controlling Coleman's posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Trevally looking to control.
Trevally looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Coleman wants to stand and escape but instead Trevally has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Trevally works a leg free and moves into half guard. Trevally is trying to control the action in half guard but Coleman is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Trevally seems to be working for a kimura but Coleman defends the submission attempt. Coleman tries to get to full guard but Trevally has control of the leg. Coleman is working hard here to advance position. Coleman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Trevally on the ground. Trevally trying to control the pace. Trevally has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Trevally wants to control the pace but Coleman is squirming around nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Coleman tries to buck Trevally off but he can't manage it. Trevally looking to control but Coleman is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Trevally looking for a guillotine from mount but Coleman is having none of it. Coleman really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Gavin Trevally will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Coleman closes the distance and clinches up with Trevally, looking for a takedown. Coleman pushes Trevally against the cage but Trevally circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Coleman misses with a two punch combination.
Trevally avoids a punch combination nicely.
Trevally scores with a takedown into Coleman's guard. Coleman keeping moving, preventing Trevally from controlling successfully. Coleman is looking to stand back up but Trevally counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Coleman. Trevally has an Americana. Coleman didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Trevally is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Trevally hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Gavin Trevally!
