Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robert Sapp!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Notsag Tnarffous!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Joseph Jones and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sapp fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Tnarffous sprawls well initially but Sapp persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Tnarffous actively working from the bottom here.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Tnarffous looking for submissions off his back.
Tnarffous is looking for a sweep. Sapp is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Tnarffous looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Sapp lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Tnarffous looking for submissions off his back.

Sapp looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Tnarffous wants to improve his position but Sapp is controlling well.

Tnarffous actively working from the bottom here.
Tnarffous looks gassed!
Sapp scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
It looks like Sapp is going to stand back up.
Sapp wants to free his trapped foot but Tnarffous is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Tnarffous makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Tnarffous.
Sapp working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Tnarffous's head.
Sapp scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Tnarffous had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Sapp is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Tnarffous Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Sapp's back instead.
Sapp rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Sapp makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Tnarffous gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Sapp counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Sapp.

Tnarffous looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Tnarffous is looking to sweep but instead, Sapp has passed into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sapp thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Tnarffous's head.
Sapp prevents Tnarffous from improving his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tnarffous moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Sapp knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tnarffous on the ground.

Sapp has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Tnarffous!
Sapp prevents Tnarffous from getting the reversal.
Tnarffous is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Sapp looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Tnarffous is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Sapp working Tnarffous over with strikes here.
Sapp lands a big elbow.
Tnarffous can't escape the position.
Sapp postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Tnarffous looks a forlorn figure.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Sapp cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Sapp is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Tnarffous can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Tnarffous keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
A nice elbow there by Sapp.
Tnarffous working to try and regain half guard.
Sapp pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tnarffous gets back to half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Sapp tries to pass to full mount but Tnarffous defends it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Sapp counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Tnarffous escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sapp gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Sapp is sitting in close to Tnarffous's body. Tnarffous has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Sapp is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Sapp is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Tnarffous.
