Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Arlovski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Dagenais (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arlovski comes to the cage accompanied by Bodies by Drowning Pool. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Arlovski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Daniel Dagenais! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Alyssa Summers and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Arlovski as Dagenais shoots in. Arlovski feints and as Dagenais raises his hands in defense, Arlovski changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Arlovski looking to pass the guard. Dagenais wants to stand but Arlovski is controlling the position. Arlovski thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Arlovski is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Arlovski stopping the sweep attempt from Dagenais. Arlovski wants to control from the top but Dagenais keeps moving. Arlovski connects with a couple of short punches. Dagenais looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round. Arlovski drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Arlovski jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Arlovski trying to control but Dagenais is working from the bottom. Arlovski landing some decent shots from guard. Arlovski in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Dagenais utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Arlovski drops back, looking for a kneebar! Dagenais looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Dagenais looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dagenais! Arlovski tries to buck Dagenais off but Dagenais is having none of it. Arlovski sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Arlovski is looking for a sweep. Dagenais is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Dagenais prevents Arlovski from standing back up.

Dagenais looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Arlovski moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Arlovski looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Arlovski isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Dagenais stacks Arlovski on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Dagenais! Arlovski gets back to half guard.

Arlovski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Arlovski isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Dagenais stacks Arlovski on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. Dagenais blocks the strikes from Arlovski.
Dagenais stands up and beckons Arlovski to join him on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A choreographed right hand from Arlovski misses the target. Dagenais gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Arlovski counters with a takedown into side control. Arlovski tries for a kimura but Dagenais is defending well. Dagenais is looking for a sweep. Arlovski tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Arlovski has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Arlovski is looking to take a break and control but Dagenais is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Arlovski looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Arlovski darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Arlovski works his way into full mount! Arlovski lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Arlovski with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Arlovski will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Dagenais keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arlovski is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Dagenais has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Dagenais! Dagenais slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Dagenais has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Arlovski shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Dagenais counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Ground and pound from Dagenais. The fighters are battling for position here. Arlovski manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Dagenais must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Arlovski manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dagenais manages to get himself to full guard.
Arlovski drops back looking for a leg! Dagenais is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dagenais manages to kick Arlovski off! Arlovski jumps back into Dagenais's guard.

Arlovski drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Dagenais manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Arlovski has Dagenais in his guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Arlovski is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Arlovski has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Dagenais is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Arlovski. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Dagenais lands a few punches from side control. Check out the look on Dagenais's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Arlovski is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Dagenais working the ground and pound. Arlovski gets back to half guard. Arlovski is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dagenais's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dagenais's back!

Jack Arlovski overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Arlovski is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Dagenais with him. Dagenais is trying to defend but Arlovski has an arm under the chin now! Dagenais grimaces and is forced to tap out!
