Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Diego Coghi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jules Neil! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Thiago Cunha and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Neil has taken the fight to the clinch.
Coghi has Neil pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Neil manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Neil has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Coghi regains guard immediately. Coghi throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Neil wants to stand but Coghi is controlling his posture from full guard. Coghi tries to land a sweep but no joy. Coghi is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Neil trying to control but Coghi is working from the bottom. Coghi lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Neil! Neil is wriggling around trying to escape.

Neil really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Coghi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Neil is working to get back to half guard.
Coghi thowing shots but they're missing. Neil keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Neil looks gassed! Coghi is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Neil can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Neil is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Coghi has hold of Neil's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Neil manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Coghi prevents Neil from getting the reversal. Coghi is working for a guillotine from mount but Neil frees his head quite easily.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Neil is working to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Coghi working for a submission but Neil is keeping him at bay. Neil can't escape the position.
Coghi goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Neil is on top in guard.
Neil missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Coghi is trying to control the position but Neil postures up. Coghi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Neil can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Neil is sitting in close to Coghi's body. Coghi has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Neil is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Neil is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Coghi.
