Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matthew George (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dexter Lampley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). George comes to the cage accompanied by Return of the Mack . Lampley is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Why Can't We Be Friends? - WAR. Matthew George has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Matthew George! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dexter Lampley! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! George shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lampley as he jumps to the side. George shoots in but no luck this time. George has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matthew George. That's going to take a lot out of him. George with a lazy takedown attempt and Lampley decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in George's guard. Lampley postures up and lands a big shot to George's brow. Lampley should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Lampley chips away with some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lampley makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Lampley preventing the sweep. Lampley content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. George tries to land a sweep but no joy. Lampley distracts George with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. George knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lampley on the ground. Lampley won't allow George to sweep him here. Lampley scoring with some ground and pound. Lampley trying to control the position from guard on top but George is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. George looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. George is working hard here to advance position. Lampley keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of George's head. George looking to sweep here. No luck so far. George is breathing heavily. Lampley stands and steps away. George gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. George feints and as Lampley raises his hands in defense, George changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Lampley wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lampley is on top in guard.
George has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Lampley has passed into side control.
Lampley decides to stand back up. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lampley tries to close the distance and clinch up but George swats him away and circles back towards the center. Lampley scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. George on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if George tries to get out of the position. Lampley is working George over with some ground and pound from side control. Lampley working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Lampley is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but George is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. George is trying to improve his position. George struggling a bit here. Lampley in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Lampley working the ground and pound. Lampley scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at George to see if he's OK. Lampley has hold of George's arm. He's looking for a kimura. George seems comfortable defending it but Lampley has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! George is real pain and he's forced to tap out! George is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Lampley couldn't care less - he's delighted!
