The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Hawk.
Hawk circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hawk checks a leg kick.

Emelianenko shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hawk is trying to defend but Emelianenko finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Emelianenko tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Hawk.
Hawk gets full guard.
Hawk keeping moving, preventing Emelianenko from controlling successfully.
Emelianenko pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hawk is keeping the position for now.
Emelianenko could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Hawk kicks Emelianenko off and gets to his feet.

Hawk fails with the takedown.
Hawk throws a head kick but Emelianenko moves out of range.
Hawk throws a sloppy head kick and Emelianenko moves out of range easily.
Emelianenko tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Emelianenko shoots in looking for a takedown but Hawk manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Emelianenko's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and Hawk counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Emelianenko!

Hawk is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Hawk extends the arm and Emelianenko is forced to tap!
