PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dick Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Gram (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gram has chosen For Whom The Bell Tolls as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Gram. No joy for Burns on that attempt.
Burns moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Gram stuffs the takedown.
Gram moves in looking to clinch but Burns pushes him off.
Burns throws a series of punches but Gram avoids them all with ease.
Burns misses with a wild combination.
A right-left combo lands from Burns.
Burns works Gram's body with a nice hook.
Gram lands a nice leg kick that just misses Burns's sensitive parts.
Burns fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Burns shoots in for a double leg but Gram sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Gram should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Burns closes the distance and clinches up with Gram, looking for a takedown. Burns pushes Gram against the cage but Gram circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Gram wants to stand but Burns has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Burns has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gram is working away from the top position though.
