Muerte swings for the body but Honda moves out of range.

and Honda cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Muerte shoots for a takedown but Honda saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd cheers as Honda lands an impressive looking overhand right. Muerte doesn't seem phased though.

and Honda counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Muerte displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Honda throws out the jab.

and Honda connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Piston Honda is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Honda throws a series of punches but Muerte moves out of range.
Honda bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Muerte fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Piston Honda has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thiago Muerte.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Muerte walks straight into a right hand from Honda - that's dropped him! Honda jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Muerte from any more punishment! Muerte complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
