Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ronys Torres! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Genky Sudo! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Felipe Paraventi and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sudo throws a sloppy head kick and Torres moves out of range easily. Sudo throws a quick inside leg kick. Sudo lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Sudo throws a leg kick that is checked and Torres counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sudo won't be happy with that. Torres connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Sudo some visible discomfort.
Torres creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sloppy strikes there by Torres. Torres has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Torres looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Torres is chipping away with strikes.
Who's going to make the next move? Sudo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Torres. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Sudo dodges the ground and pound from Torres.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sudo is trying to control Torres's posture but Torres avoids it. Sudo tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Torres wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Torres is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sudo has escaped the position, nice work there. Torres tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Sudo parries the strikes from Torres easily there. Torres is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Sudo to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Torres tries to advance to mount but can't. Torres working away. An elbow from Torres crashes against the mat.
Sudo is looking for a sweep. Sudo wants to control but Torres postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sudo prevents Torres from moving into mount. Sudo is not content to let Torres control the position. Torres looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Torres postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Sudo is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Torres looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Torres lands some shots froms side control. Torres misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Torres lands a decent elbow from side control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Torres throwing shots but missing, from side control. Torres is trying to get an arm triangle but Sudo is defending well. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Torres trying to control the action but Sudo is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sudo fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Torres checks it well. Torres moves out of range of the body kick from Sudo.
Torres fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Sudo connects with a solid leg kick. Sudo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Torres manages to avoid it. A good leg kick by Sudo. Torres shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sudo napping and manages to drive through into side control! Torres blocks the strikes from Sudo.

That's one minute gone in the round. Sudo is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Sudo is looking for a sweep. Torres trying to control the position but Sudo is working away. Sudo avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Torres. An elbow from Torres crashes against the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Torres throws a strike aimed at the side of Sudo's head but Sudo avoids it well. Torres is looking to take a break and control but Sudo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Sudo managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Torres.
Sudo tries to bench press Torres off him but Torres keeps the position. Torres prevents Sudo from escaping the position. Sudo taking a bit of punishment here - Torres scoring with strikes. Sloppy strikes there by Torres. Torres working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Torres misses with the ground and pound. The ground and pound from Torres seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Torres tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Torres thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sudo avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Torres. Torres misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Torres looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Torres working the head and body with strikes. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sudo tries to control but Torres manages to take his back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Torres trying to control the position but Sudo is working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sudo managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Torres.

Sudo seems comfortable defending it but Torres has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Sudo is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Sudo is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Torres couldn't care less - he's delighted!
