Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tonka Tomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Winland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tomas utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Tomas has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Winland can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters circling - Tomas throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Tomas swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Horrible takedown by Tomas or perhaps it was just good defense by Winland which made him look bad.

Tomas has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Winland finds it's way round the side to connect with Tomas's head.
Winland closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Tomas to the mat! Tomas manages to get full guard.

Tomas is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Winland stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Tomas has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Winland manages to get his head free but now Tomas has transitioned to an armbar! Winland grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Tomas! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
