Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Barnaby Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alvaro Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Barnaby Ryan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alvaro Perez! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Wagner Zegers and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ryan is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Perez. Ryan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Perez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Ryan misses with a hook. Perez wants to land a leg kick but Ryan is out of range. Ryan moves out of range as Perez throws a body kick.
Ryan checks a low kick from Perez. Ryan throws a low kick but Perez avoids it. Perez misses with a hook. Ryan ducked under it nicely. Ryan slips under a jab from Perez. Perez throws a predictable looking body shot
and Ryan counters with a straight right hand. Perez wants to land a leg kick but Ryan is out of range. Perez takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Ryan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Ryan is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's one minute gone in the round. Perez trying to hold on to Ryan's head to control him but Ryan postures up.
Perez is trying to stand.
Ryan stalling. Perez tries to kick Ryan off in order to stand up. Ryan Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. You can see the frustration on Perez's face as Ryan controls the position. Ryan seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Perez for as long as he can get away with. Ryan tries to advance to mount but Perez denies him. Ryan happy to just control the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ryan moves into full mount! Ryan has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Perez's face.
It looks like Alvaro Perez has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ryan trying to control but Perez is having none of it. Ryan working away from the top, dropping strikes.
That has opened up Alvaro Perez's cut even more. Ryan is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Perez to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Perez shrugs it off. Ryan looking to control but Perez is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Perez tries to reverse the position but Ryan maintains control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Perez holds on for dear life. Ryan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Perez is looking to escape. Ryan tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Ryan landing strikes from the mount.
The cut above Alvaro Perez's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Perez is in all sorts of trouble here.
Ryan is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Ryan extends the arm and Perez is forced to tap!
