Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marek Dudzinski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gerard Esqueda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Esqueda has chosen Cant del Barça as his entrance music. Gerard Esqueda has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marek Dudzinski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gerard Esqueda!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Esqueda looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Dudzinski managing to control the position.
Esqueda slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Esqueda throws a strike aimed at the side of Dudzinski's head but Dudzinski avoids it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Esqueda is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dudzinski knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Dudzinski is pushing Esqueda's head away, looking to escape. Esqueda manages to hold on to the position though.

Esqueda looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Esqueda has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Dudzinski wants to get back to his feet but Esqueda drags him back down.
Esqueda remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dudzinski is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
You can see the frustration on Dudzinski's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Esqueda misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Esqueda is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dudzinski doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Esqueda.

Dudzinski wants to control but Esqueda is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Esqueda thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dudzinski's head.
Dudzinski is trying to maintain the position but Esqueda is very close to passing his half guard.
Esqueda is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Esqueda stops Dudzinski from getting back to his feet.

Esqueda is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dudzinski has escaped the position, nice work there.
Esqueda looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Dudzinski is avoiding damage well.
Esqueda is working Dudzinski over with some ground and pound from side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dudzinski tries to bench press Esqueda off him but Esqueda keeps the position.
Dudzinski gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Gerard Esqueda showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Dudzinski tries to move into range but Esqueda moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Esqueda shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Dudzinski is trying to defend but Esqueda finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Esqueda shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Esqueda was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Esqueda wants to control the pace but Dudzinski is squirming around nicely.

Esqueda goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Dudzinski turns into him and now he's in Esqueda's guard.

Gerard Esqueda is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Esqueda manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dudzinski manages to get himself to full guard.

Esqueda seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

We're going to have a standup here because Marek Dudzinski wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
A looping hook to the body misses from Esqueda. Dudzinski does a little dance to reset his feet.
Esqueda catches Dudzinski with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Esqueda closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dudzinski circles away.

Gerard Esqueda comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Esqueda winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
