Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andre Chankin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aarne Virtanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aarne Virtanen is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Andre Chankin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Aarne Virtanen! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chankin throws a right hand that Virtanen ducks under and follows up with a left that Virtanen also avoids with ease. Chankin avoids a punch combination nicely.
Virtanen darts in trying to clinch and Chankin counters with an inside leg kick.
Chankin gets a double leg takedown into Virtanen's guard. Chankin stays in close to Virtanen's body and controls the position.
Virtanen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Chankin defends it easily.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Chankin trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Virtanen wants to get back to his feet but Chankin is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Chankin content to stall in guard here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
 We're going to have a standup here because Andre Chankin wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Virtanen looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Chankin wants to control from the top but Virtanen keeps moving. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Chankin counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Virtanen's guard now. Virtanen wants to sweep but no luck. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chankin is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Chankin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Virtanen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Chankin has managed to get both his arms back between Virtanen's legs - danger averted. Chankin engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

 The ref stands the fighters back up. Andre Chankin wasn't doing enough on the ground. Chankin stuffs the takedown attempt from Virtanen. Virtanen gets slowly back to his feet. Virtanen throws a low kick, looking for Chankin's leg but Chankin calmly moves out of range.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Chankin misses with a takedown attempt - Virtanen sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Chankin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Virtanen.

Chankin bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Chankin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Virtanen is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Chankin asserts his dominance and retains side control. Virtanen is looking to regain half guard here but Chankin keeps moving and retains side control.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Virtanen tries to escape but Chankin is in control. Virtanen wants to get back to his feet but Chankin is dominant here and he's now got Virtanen's back! Chankin tries to keep control of the position but Virtanen is staying busy. What can Virtanen do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Andre Chankin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Virtanen looks to land a combination but Chankin avoids it well. Virtanen shoots in looking for a takedown. Chankin tries to sprawl out of it but Virtanen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Chankin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Chankin shoots in and drives through. Virtanen sprawls well.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Virtanen is looking to clinch but Chankin is avoiding it.
Chankin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Virtanen avoids it really well and circles away. Andre Chankin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Chankin feints and then cracks Virtanen's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Virtanen down. Chankin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
