Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Woodrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taurus Porter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Woodrow comes to the cage accompanied by The Lumberjack Song. On his way into the cage it seems that Alexander Woodrow has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Alexander Woodrow seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alexander Woodrow! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Taurus Porter! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Franklyn Lucas and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Porter stuffs the takedown. A combination from Porter does no damage. Porter loads up on a big right hand but Woodrow slips the punch. Porter throws a right hand that Woodrow ducks under and follows up with a left that Woodrow also avoids with ease. Porter throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Taurus Porter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Porter keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Porter misses the shot to the body. Porter throws a hook but Woodrow blocks it. Woodrow fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Porter, pushing him back against the cage. Porter blocks an uppercut.
Porter is trying to break free. Woodrow keeps control of Porter as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Woodrow swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Woodrow tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alexander Woodrow. That's going to take a lot out of him. Woodrow tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Porter smiles and moves away.
Woodrow fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Porter scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Porter throws a right and a left that Woodrow avoids nicely. Porter looks gassed! Woodrow closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Woodrow scores with a knee to the head.
Porter wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Woodrow fails to land. Woodrow has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Porter avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Woodrow lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Porter wants to break the clinch but can't.

Porter breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Porter misses with the combination.
Woodrow throws a head kick that misses. Taurus Porter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Porter scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Woodrow takes the fight into the clinch. Woodrow tries for a takedown. No joy.
Woodrow working some nice short punches in the clinch. Porter breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Porter gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Woodrow in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Porter wants to stand up but Woodrow is controlling him. Porter looking to hit a scissor sweep but Woodrow is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Woodrow trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Woodrow throwing strikes but missing. Woodrow wants to control from the top but Porter keeps moving. Woodrow drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Woodrow jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Woodrow showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Porter.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Porter throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Porter misses with a looping left. Porter looks to land a combination but Woodrow avoids it well. Woodrow walks into a jab. Woodrow lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Woodrow tries to clinch up but Porter circles away and keeps his distance. Woodrow throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Porter's waist but Porter gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Woodrow off to one side. Woodrow shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Woodrow trying to control the position from guard on top but Porter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Woodrow thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Woodrow trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Porter can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Woodrow looking to pass the guard. Woodrow wants to control from the top but Porter keeps moving. Woodrow thows a big elbow that misses.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Woodrow throws a series of punches but Porter moves out of range. Porter throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Woodrow sees it coming and avoids it easily. Porter falls off balance throwing a combination
and Woodrow counters by clinching up. Porter wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Porter. Woodrow misses with the head strike.
Porter is pressed up against the cage. Woodrow has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Porter down to the mat. Porter avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Porter throws a left and a right that both miss
and Woodrow counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Porter is positioning himself well to prevent Woodrow advancing to mount. Woodrow missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alexander Woodrow dominated that round. That's time! Woodrow's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

enabling Woodrow to counter with a crisp jab. Porter throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Woodrow decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Porter's guard. Porter keeping moving, preventing Woodrow from controlling successfully. Porter wants to get back to his feet but Woodrow is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Woodrow is looking to work some ground and pound but Porter has wrist control. Woodrow wants to control from the top but Porter keeps moving. Woodrow slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Porter wants to get back to his feet but Woodrow drags him back down.
That's one minute gone in the round. Porter parries the strikes from Woodrow easily there. Woodrow is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Porter to escape.

Woodrow takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Nice sprawl there from Porter as Woodrow shoots in. Alexander Woodrow is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Porter throws a series of punches but Woodrow avoids them all with ease. Woodrow shoots in for a takedown but Porter shows good takedown defense. Woodrow shoots in but Porter avoids the takedown attempt easily. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Woodrow. Woodrow shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Woodrow trying to control but Porter is working from the bottom. Porter is working an open guard so Woodrow takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Woodrow shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Porter but Porter pushes him off and we're back to square one. Woodrow gets in close and instigates a clinch. Woodrow doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Woodrow drops down looking for an ankle pick but Porter pulls his leg out and moves away.

Porter is squirming around, avoiding Woodrow's attempts to control the action. Porter wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Woodrow throws a sloppy strike and Porter uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Porter has ended up in Woodrow's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Woodrow. Porter misses with a double jab
and Woodrow counters with a series of strikes. Porter will be more careful next time no doubt. Woodrow swinging wilding here.

and Woodrow counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Porter! Porter wants to hold on but Woodrow pushes him away. Woodrow lands a heavy elbow. Woodrow swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Porter is now in Woodrow's guard. A big mistake from Woodrow there, giving up the dominant position! A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Woodrow holds on and takes a little breather. Woodrow is trying to control the position but Porter postures up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Woodrow looking to sweep here. No luck so far. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alexander Woodrow dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Porter thuds a left hand into Woodrow's body. Woodrow scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Woodrow tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Woodrow wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Porter, who protects the arm well. Porter managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Woodrow.
Woodrow wants to control but Porter is keeping him busy. Porter parries the strikes from Woodrow easily there. Woodrow is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Porter to escape.
Woodrow throws an elbow but Porter slips to the side and avoids it well. Sloppy strikes there by Woodrow. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Woodrow has taken the fight to the clinch.

Woodrow lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Porter wants to break free but Woodrow has control.

Woodrow controls Porter momentarily but Porter frees himself. Woodrow looking for a sweep. Not yet Woodrow, not yet. Woodrow is trying to control the position but Porter postures up. Porter avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Porter wants to stand but Woodrow is controlling his posture from full guard. Taurus Porter has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Woodrow controls Porter momentarily but Porter frees himself.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Woodrow fails in his attempt to clinch. Woodrow tries to clinch but Porter is having none of it. Porter swings for the body but Woodrow moves out of range.
Porter fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Woodrow. Porter is not content to let Woodrow control the position. Porter stops Woodrow from passing to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Porter takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Woodrow trying to control the action but Porter is working from the bottom. Woodrow advances to full mount. Porter is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Porter is squirming around, avoiding Woodrow's attempts to control the action.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Porter avoids a series of strikes thrown by Woodrow.
Woodrow tries to control but Porter wriggling away. Woodrow with the ground and pound from mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Woodrow takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Woodrow dominating with strikes here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Porter is bucking up trying to escape but Woodrow cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Porter is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Porter is in all sorts of trouble here.
And that's the end of the fight! Alexander Woodrow showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Woodrow, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
