Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bill Del Toro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takumi Kono (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kono is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Last Samurai- Red Warrior . Bill Del Toro has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bill Del Toro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takumi Kono! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Kono as Del Toro shoots in. Kono tries to close the distance and clinch but Del Toro swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Del Toro tries for a takedown but Kono circles away easily and Kono counters with a one-two to the body. Kono throws a right and a left that both miss. Kono pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Del Toro back to the cage. Kono follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Kono throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kono shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Del Toro manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Kono decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Del Toro, up you get! Kono tries to clinch up. Del Toro looking to score a takedown here. Kono is defending well but Del Toro drives through and ends up in Kono's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Del Toro has gone for a leg lock! Kono slips out almost immediately though and dives into Del Toro's guard. Kono throws a big elbow that misses.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Del Toro is breathing heavily. Del Toro has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kono can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Kono trying to control but Del Toro is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Del Toro has a closed guard, preventing Kono from standing up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kono drops back looking for a leg! Del Toro is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Del Toro manages to kick Kono off! Kono jumps back into Del Toro's guard. Del Toro looking for a guillotine here but Kono defends easily.

Bill Del Toro dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Kono gets in close and instigates a clinch. Del Toro jumps guard but Kono stands there with Del Toro around his waist. Del Toro gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Kono stands up out of Del Toro's guard for a moment - Del Toro manages to land a nice upkick. Kono throws a big right hand that misses. Del Toro throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Del Toro looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Kono gets to his feet. Del Toro looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Kono moves in looking to clinch but Del Toro pushes him off. Kono throws a series of strikes that have Del Toro backpedaling.
Kono lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Kono rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Del Toro moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Kono wants to clinch up but Del Toro keeps it at a distance. Del Toro avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kono slaps away a takedown attempt from Del Toro, before circling back to the center of the mat. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sloppy strikes from Kono. Those never looked like landing. Kono closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! The fighters are battling for position here. Del Toro manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Del Toro has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Kono is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Del Toro. Del Toro is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Kono's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kono wants to work for an arm triangle but Del Toro is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

A close second round but Takumi Kono will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Del Toro looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Kono is defending well. Del Toro quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Kono has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Del Toro celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
