Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Barry McLean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silver Back (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Back has chosen One 24 as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Jorge Garcia and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Back keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from McLean.
McLean pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Back takes the fight into the clinch.
Back gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Back thows a huge punch but McLean dodges it nicely.
McLean is trying to maintain the position but Back is very close to passing his half guard.
Back is working for a kimura but McLean is defending it quite comfortably.
McLean is trying to stand back up but Back is controlling him
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McLean has hold of Back's hands but Back slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
McLean is trying to control but can't.
McLean is looking for a sweep. Back is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Back thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McLean's head.

Back prevents McLean from improving his position.
Back missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Back trying to control the action but McLean is working from the bottom.

McLean on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
McLean tries to get to full guard but Back has control of the leg.

McLean is not content to let Back control the position.
Back not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Back has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Back looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks McLean with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
McLean slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
McLean manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Back manages to get himself to full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Back looking to hit a scissor sweep but McLean is one step ahead there.

Back lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for McLean!
Back lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
McLean tries to lock up and control but Back gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Back lands with some vicious ground and pound - can McLean hang on?
Back swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and McLean is now in Back's guard. A big mistake from Back there, giving up the dominant position!
McLean passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Back tries to get back to half guard but can't.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McLean is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Back knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Silver Back dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
McLean stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Back.
McLean gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Back throwing strikes from guard but McLean blocks nicely.
Back wants to control from the top but McLean keeps moving.
Back throws a big right hand that misses.
Back postures up in McLean's guard and throws a big left but McLean blocks it.

Back wants to pass the guard but McLean is keeping the position.

Back has his feet on McLean's thighs here. He's pushed McLean off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! McLean screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
