Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Top Tea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Gers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gers has chosen Iron Maiden - The Trooper as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Top Tea! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Gers! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Sam Margolis and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gers dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Gers lands a really nice looking cross but Tea seems unphased.
Gers catches Tea with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Gers throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Gers throws a series of punches but Tea avoids them all with ease. Gers misses with a body shot.
Top Tea seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tea has his takedown stuffed and Gers counters with a left to the body. Tea with a lazy takedown attempt and Gers counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This has been an exciting period of action! Gers landing with the ground and pound. Gers lands a couple of digs. Tea wants to sweep here but Gers controlling him for the moment. Gers advances to half guard. Gers is looking to advance position but Tea won't allow it. Gers passes the guard and advances to mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Tea wants to control but Gers is having none of it. Gers landing punches. Tea regains half guard. Gers throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Tea wants to get back to full guard but Gers has passed into side control. Sloppy strikes there by Gers. Tea tries to bench press Gers off him but Gers keeps the position. Gers throwing shots but missing, from side control. Gers working the ground and pound from side control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gers works to advance to full mount. Tea defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Tea is desperately trying to improve his position but Gers has a good base and remains in mount. Tea takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Gers really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tea. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tea is working to get back to half guard.
Gers pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Gers putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Tea manages to regain half guard. Good work. Tea keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Gers uses his free foot to push down on Tea's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Tea. Gers lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Tea is trying desperately to improve position. Tea is bucking up trying to escape but Gers cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Tea is rocked! Tea is squirming around, avoiding Gers's attempts to control the action. Oh Tea is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Tea sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Gers seems to be working for a kimura but Tea defends the submission attempt. Tea seems to have got his legs back now. Gers wants to take a breather but Tea is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gers landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Gers is trying to control. Tea wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The fighters are battling for position here. Tea manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Tea is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gers is aware though and is defending well. Tea looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gers is one step ahead there. Gers throws a big right hand that misses. Tea thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Gers wants to pass the guard but Tea is keeping the position. Tea manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gers manages to get himself to full guard.
Tea won't allow Gers to sweep him here. Tea controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tea tries to free his leg and advance position but Gers is retaining full guard. Tea thows a big elbow that misses. Tea stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gers swivels though and keeps the full guard. Tea is looking to work some ground and pound but Gers has wrist control. Tea forces his way into half guard. Tea wants to free his trapped foot but Gers is holding on for dear life with his legs. Tea lands with a punch from half guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Tea looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Tea throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. And thats the end of the round the fighters go back to their corners.
Dave Gers dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Gers misses with a body shot.
Tea shoots in looking for a takedown. Gers tries to sprawl out of it but Tea keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gers manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Tea keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Gers misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Tea misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gers.
Tea has his takedown stuffed and Gers counters with a nice uppercut. Gers just misses with a punch to the body.
Tea shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Gers counters with a nice body shot. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Top Tea. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tea uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gers.

That's one minute gone in the round. Tea with a lazy takedown attempt and Gers counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Gers stuffs the takedown attempt from Tea. Tea gets slowly back to his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Tea has his takedown stuffed enabling Gers to counter with a crisp jab. Tea takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Gers is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Tea rather than just go for the knockout. Gers smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Gers looking to score a takedown here. Tea is defending well but Gers drives through and ends up in Tea's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Gers trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Gers looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Gers tries to free his leg and advance position but Tea is retaining full guard. Gers is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Gers trying to control but Tea is working from the bottom. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tea has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gers can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Gers scoring with punches to the head and body. Gers scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Tea looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Tea is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gers defends well. Gers must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Gers trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Gers trying to control the position from guard on top but Tea is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tea working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Gers. Gers stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tea swivels though and keeps the full guard. Tea has his foot on Gers's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gers works his way back into a safe position though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tea looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gers is one step ahead there. Gers pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tea is keeping the position for now. Gers is sitting in close to Tea's body. Tea has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Gers is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Gers is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Tea.
