PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between El Barto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Buu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, King Buu!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buu tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Barto really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Barto misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Barto turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Barto throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Buu's head.
El Barto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Buu shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Buu stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Barto to get to his feet.

Barto throws a head kick that Buu semi-blocks.

Buu drives through and clinches with Barto against the cage.

Buu tries to land knees in the clinch but Barto avoids the damage to the body.

Buu has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Barto uses from the top position.
Barto wanted to stand there but Buu had control of the position.
Barto will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Barto decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Barto throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

A decent looking body kick lands there for Barto.

Buu closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Barto quickly recovers to half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Barto is trying to stand.
Buu tries to pass the half guard into mount. Barto knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Buu decides to stand and escape the position.

Barto shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Buu defends it nicely.
Buu tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Barto lands with a hook. Buu tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Buu closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Barto fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Barto wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Buu has him pressed against the cage.

Buu breaks from the clinch.
Buu shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Barto pinned against the cage. Barto gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Barto plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Buu looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Barto tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Barto thumps Buu with a low kick.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Buu stands up and waves to Barto to follow him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

King Buu dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Buu throws a head kick that misses.
Barto misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Buu shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Barto's guard.
Barto is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Buu is controlling him.
Buu passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Barto is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Buu asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Barto tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Buu is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Barto taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Buu.
