Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sean John (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arto Paasilinna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paasilinna has chosen Irwin Goodman - Vanha Juoppo as his entrance music. Arto Paasilinna has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
John tries a head kick but it misses.
Paasilinna shoots for a takedown but John saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

John tries to keep at a distance but Paasilinna has taken the fight into the clinch.
John tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Paasilinna works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
John wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
John can't keep his opponent in guard - Paasilinna advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Sean John just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

John connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
John tries to clinch but Paasilinna is having none of it.
The crowd cheers as John lands an impressive looking overhand right. Paasilinna doesn't seem phased though.

John doesn't manage to clinch there - Paasilinna circles away.
Paasilinna has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

That was a close round but I would say that Sean John will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Paasilinna closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Paasilinna is trying to move to mount but John reverses beautifully and ends up in Paasilinna's guard.

Paasilinna has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but John can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
John knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Paasilinna on the ground.

John has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Paasilinna to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! John is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Paasilinna pulls down on the head and he's put John to sleep! This one is all over!
