The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McPunches fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
McPunches cracks Gottlob with a right hand to the side of the head.
Gottlob tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. McPunches manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
McPunches circles away from the clinch attempt.
Gottlob takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McPunches slips a jab and a cross from Gottlob .
Gottlob throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McPunches.
McPunches looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Gottlob closes the distance and pushes McPunches back into the cage.
Gottlob is stalling here.
Gottlob misses with a shot to the kidneys.

McPunches tries to break free but Gottlob pushes him back against the cage.

McPunches's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Androcles Gottlob is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
McPunches's jab looks to have found its range, popping Gottlob under the eye.
McPunches throws out a powerful jab.

That has opened up Androcles Gottlob 's cut even more.

and McPunches counters with a nice double leg into guard.
McPunches scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
McPunches won't allow Gottlob to get back to his feet.
McPunches sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Gottlob avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
McPunches trying to control the position from guard on top but Gottlob is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Punchy McPunches just wasn't active enough.
Gottlob tries to clinch up but McPunches circles away and keeps his distance.
Gottlob throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and McPunches counters with a right hand to the body.
Gottlob looks gassed!
McPunches tests Gottlob 's chin there with a solid looking shot.
McPunches throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gottlob stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gottlob has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from McPunches finds it's way round the side to connect with Gottlob 's head.

The cut above Androcles Gottlob 's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
McPunches fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gottlob takes a body punch but keeps moving.
McPunches digs a good body shot into Gottlob 's ribs.
McPunches works Gottlob 's body with a nice hook.

McPunches moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Gottlob goes down! Can McPunches finish him!?

Gottlob is rocked!

Androcles Gottlob 's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Androcles Gottlob 's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
