The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walsh looks to throw the jab but Stanton is out of range.
Stanton moves forwards but Walsh connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Nice takedown defense from Walsh. No joy for Stanton on that attempt.
Walsh throws a chopping leg kick but Stanton manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Walsh avoids the head kick by Stanton.
Stanton keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Stanton is defended easily by Walsh.

Stanton clinches with his opponent.
Stanton can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brent Stanton. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Stanton takes a shot to the head.
Walsh pushes Stanton back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Stanton changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Walsh fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Walsh is pawing at Stanton, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Stanton's nose. Stanton is badly hurt! Walsh pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Stanton tries desperately to hold on but Walsh is relentless in his assault! As Stanton receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Walsh away and this one is in the books!
